They Come – v2
They come from the East and the West
They come from distant lands,
To celebrate with the King as His guests;
Oh! what blessed pilgrims!
Contemplating His holy face
Which shines with divine radiance;
Partakers of His Grace,
Shining jewels in His crown.
My heart has been happy ever since
That Jesus set me free,
I no longer carry the weight of worries,
His yoke is so sweet to me.
My soul was black as night,
But the darkness has fled;
Now I claim victory,
Because Jesus has set me free.
I look at the great white throne,
In front are the redeemed;
There are no more tears, nor known sorrows,
Nor died in this beautiful country.
My Savior has gone before me,
Preparing the way for me;
Soon we'll be together, in time or eternity.
The portals of this holy place
Remain open night and day;
Look to the Lord
Who "gives more grace,"
Whose love traced the way;
A place in these beautiful homes
Which He reserved for all.
To prepare you for the wedding,
Obey the call of grace.
Oh! Jesus is coming soon,
Then our sorrows are over.
If our Lord would come now
For those who are without sin,
Would you then have joy,
Sorrow, despair?
When He comes in His glory,
We will meet Him in the air.
