Letter for Hosea

A holy king chose me to be his wife,
I was dressed in fine linen clean and white,
A man approached me, showed me his kingdom,
Great pleasure for my flesh but I know this is whoredom,
But the pressure pulled me to hold his hands,
The sinful treasures of this world I glanced,
I gained his wealth but I was blind and deaf,
A drop of tear from heaven

I was unfaithful and defiled
Unqualified to be your wife
Brought you pain and scars and tears in your eye,
You looked beyond my faults
Because you saw my needs
Undeserving but you called
And promised a vow for me

I couldn't feel my husbands presence
I was judged, guilty and condemned
The man who defiled me was delighted
As I was walking stripped and naked,
Throughout my walk I hear him whispering,
Im a slave desperate to be redeemed
But how can I beg when I know my sins
A drop of tear from heaven

And then my husband came to pay the price,
All the shame, the times I’ve been defiled
Pain in his eyes reaching his arms to me, there’s a reason that's why I let you free
I have redeemed thee, you are my wife, death holds before, but I gave you life
I’ll remember your sins no more,
For you’ll reign with me in that city

I was unfaithful and defiled
Unqualified to be your wife
Brought you pain and scars and tears in your eye,
You looked beyond my faults
Because you saw my needs
Undeserving but you called
And promised a vow

Undserving but you called
And promised a vow for me
