We have in Jesus Christ,

Always ready to hear us,

He knows our failings,

Our daily stumbles.

Stern in His demands,

He is rich in His love.

Always ready to understand us

When we are troubled!

Let us tell Him all our fears,

Open our whole heart to Him;

Soon His holy words

Will bring us true happiness.

Always ready to defend us

When we face the enemy!

He follows us into the fray,

Enfolding us in His arms,

And it is He who holds the sword

That decides the battle.

Always ready to teach us

To triumph by relying on Him!

If He sees us true and sincere

In seeking holiness,

He hears our prayers,

And we find true freedom.

Soon He will come to take us

To be in heaven with Him.

Let us follow the narrow path,

Relying on His help;
