The Lamb and the Dove
A heavenly dove of a perfect nature
Tender and a loving filled with peace
A lonely lamb that must be led
Meek and humble, sacrificial
The two of the same gentle nature.
Lord, my heart's desire is to be led
By your gentle loving spirit
A lamb that gives itself up
To the Good and gentle Shepherd.
Lead me Lord, I cannot walk alone,
Sheare away anything that hinders you,
Humble and meek,
What you long for to be,
I give up my rights to you,
So that, that I might become a little lamb for you.
The dove can only find rest in a Lamb,
That will forsake all it's rights,
The lamb obeys, the voice that it loves,
And think not of its own desires,
Pride and wrath being cast far away.
Lord forgive my against,
Return again dear Lord,
Won't you take preeminence of my simple vessel.
I was bought with the price
Of your precious blood,
I'm surrending my will to you,
So that, that I might become a lamb
That walks with the heavenly Dove.
