Heard all about it,

no way we could doubt it,

The marvelous

things He has been;

The Christ in the pages

has lived through the ages,

And made Himself real to men;

I've been desiring

the Word that's inspiring,

Raising Him from history;

This is my prayer, Lord Jesus,

Be real to me.

God of glory personally;

Here in this present hour,

Indwelling power;

Great mystery,

Unveiling and letting me see,

Unfailing reality;

Be real to me.

The prophets, the law,

the theme of it all,

It seems

You were in everything;

The message of Noah,

the power of Elijah,

The song

that made David to sing;

Then in Your plan,

You came in a Man,

A God we could touch

and could see;

Showing so clear Your desire

to be real to me.
