Every Step I Take

There is a resting place

in the center of His grace,

I long to be in it so should you;

So Lord guide my way I pray,

in this Laodicean day,

I only want to do

what You want me to do.

Lord, with every step I take,

Let Your Holy Spirit

be my guide,

Let me always heed

to make a choice,

I want Your perfect will

for my life.

There are times

we think we're right,

Think we have a green light;

But we find ourselves

in God's permissive will.

But oh what glory

and what beauty,

To be in the line of duty,

His perfect will

I always want to fill.
