He Never Said A Word
There He was
The Man who would be Savior,
So alone, rejected and despised.
There He was
Like a common criminal,
For a Man who never even lied
He was to be crucified.
He took it all
The pain and all the suffering,
What fell on Him
Was something we deserved.
He could have tried
To plead and say "Not guilty"
I was so amazed that
throughout His fall
He refused to spealk at all.
He never said a word,
No complaints were heard;
Tho' they treated Him so bad
He never said a word.
Like a lamb about to die,
In place of you and I;
Tho' no one cared about His fate
He never said a word…
not a word.
By His death
We could receive forgiveness,
For His sake we will be justified;
Now I know
Why He didn't say anything,
For He saw the joy after
all the pain
That won't be in vain.
