I Am Ready For The Stepping Across

Have you caught a glimpse of the joy over yonder?

Have you seen the reality of where we are?

I have caught a glimpse, I've seen signs of the resurrection,

And I see and believe our catching away can't be far.

I have expected to see the resurrected,

Come walking through someone's door,

Maybe mine, maybe yours, it is here.

I am stepping across the invisible line from time to eternity;

I am fully expecting the next breath I take

To be in the place He's prepared for me;

I'm living my life on the verge of the rapture,

Knowing in what I believe;

It's so close I can feel it, so near I can see it,

I am ready for the stepping across.

Oh what beauty waits for the Bride over yonder,

Such a joy and a peace that our minds cannot comprehend;

Oh how I anticipate eternity with my Savior,

Blessed communion with Jesus that will have no end;

No more pain or death, no more find of rest,

Only love, only joy, only peace, only Jesus I see.

Do you feel what I'm feeling,

can you see what I'm seeing,

Do you know why I'm singing,

I can't help but rejoicing,

I am ready for the stepping across.
