I Stop and Think for a While

I stop and think for a while
I come to think of my iniquities and faults
And it hurts me so much to see
That I don't please You LORD
And I wonder why do You suffer that
A wretch like me should live.

Why is it Lord? Who am I
that You can do these things for me
That you stooped down
so much in Calvary?

It's Your Love, Your everlasting love that keeps me
Your tender hands that hold me all the way
It's Your grace that sustains me
It's Your mercy that rewrites my life
That I may go into perfection
For that day you have planned in Your mind
Before this world was formed
O I stand in awe, when I stop and think for a while

I stop and think for a while
I ask why do you love me in my weaknesses
There are people whose well than me
Who look pleasing to You
And I wonder why I am accepted in
The Beloved who died for me
