I Was Born Free

I stood in the barnyard looking around

At the chickens picking on the ground

And Something inside keeps telling me

I was not earth bound

Then one day I heard my mama scream

What's the matter with you

Why do you live in a dream

You are an eagle

You were born to fly

Now I'm flying where no other bird can fly

In a supernatural atmosphere high in the sky

Seeing things that I've never seen

He is taking me places I've never been

And the higher I go is the more I see

I'm now living in the reality

I am an eagle. I was born free

Higher and higher I rise each day

I'm rising to a perfect faith

Rising on the mighty rushing wind

Rising above the rhythm of the music

Rising above the clapping of hands

Rising above the joy of the saints

The devil tried his best to cage and deceive me

But then God sent His Word to me

He delivered me

And He's given me a law inside to fly

And soon I'll soar through heaven's door
