I Was In His Mind

From the beginning,

He chose me to be His son,

And He had a plan

that you and I are a part of;

My soul reaches out

for something beyond this time,

And I know without a doubt

that I was in His mind.

Before the world was formed,

I was in His mind

He did predestinate

me before all time;

And I know that I am His

and He is mine,

Before the world was formed

I was in His mind.

I often wonder

why He ever chose me,

But by His foreknowledge

He predestined me to see;

I'm merely His thought

expressed in my own time,

And I know without a doubt

I was in His mind.
