Is Your Life Worthy

Heard about a'Christian' man,
Who beat his wife and child,
Sweet at church
but privately was wild;
And someone spoke out bitter
against a man of God,
Split the church
and everyone chose sides;

There's a world that's watching you,
And a God who's watching too;
Stop and hear this question,
think it through.

Is your life worthy of the Gospel,
Jesus' wife who you claim to be;
If you choose to bear His name,
Then I pray don't bring it shame,
Please look and see,
Is your life worthy?

A woman claims
to speak in tongues,
While dressing to appeal,
Fails to sit and seek
for something real;
Sometimes it's hard to see in folks,
If he is really there,
Saying things
that angels never dare;

It is best you never heard,
Than to break my Savior's Word,
Hopefully by something
you'll be stirred.

Is your life worthy of the Gospel,
Jesus' wife who you claim to be;
If you choose to bear His name,
Then I pray don't bring it shame,
Please look and see,
Is your life worthy?
