Look Away

For many years He called my name,

Told me all I had to gain,

But each time He gave the call,

I just looked away;

But then He turned my eyes around,

He set my feet on higher ground,

From Satan's power, that very hour,

I looked away.

Look away to Jesus, look away,

There's a beauty

of Jesus Christ on display;

Just fix your eyes

upon the Word of Life today,

From fear and dread

just turn your head,

And look away.

In this age we look and learn,

Sin is everywhere we turn;

But there's a message sons of God,

Just look away;

And if He asked us to turn our head,

He'll give us something to see instead;

The Word of Life, it's Jesus Christ,

Come look away.
