My Want's been Changed

When I became a Christian, everything seemed fine

I was happy as could be

But all my old friends said," you're out of your mind, girl

Now you're no longer free".

I never could understand their rage

It's not like I'm a bird in a cage

Liberty came to me that day

So, this is all I have to say:

Well, it's true I can do whatever I want,

But my want's been rearranged

Jesus came in, saved from sin, and there's bee a huge change

Well, I used to want all the world could give,

But I've chosen not to die but to live

Well, it's true I can do whatever I want,

But my want's been changed.

Now, everyday, I'm walkin' and I'm talkin' with Him

He's a precious friend to me

Never more to want, yeah, I'm filled to the brim

with contentment eternally

So, if you've been searchin',

Here's some advice:

I've truly found there's none good but Christ

Freedom will come to you that day
