Redeem The Time

I find myself again at
the end of the day,
Looking back at what I've done,
And wish it hadn't been that way.
And wonder how the time
could pass so swiftly by,
I spend my time on foolish things
and the Lord I deny.

We must redeem the time,
this day will never come again;
Let the things I do today
be eternal without end.
Redeem the time,
you may never find the chance
to pray that prayer,
or help a brother in despair.
Lay aside the things standing
in your way.
Precious is the time we have today.

Just living to get by,
there must be a better way.
With the world and its confusion,
it's a struggle just to pray;
And the moments passing by,
we try to hold them in our hands,
But we see the hours slip through
our fingers like sand.
