I was in the Garden of Eden

There on a hill;

I was with Moses, and the children of Israel

When they crossed the great Red Sea

I was with King David,

When he shouted on the streets

But the greatest place I've been,

Was that day on Calvary

That day on Calvary, I was in Calvary

Every name in the Lamb's Book of Life

Was then right there, O I was in His mind

The day when He died,

And He paid the price for me

That day on Calvary

I was in my way with pilgrim

When they sailed across the sea

I was in Philadelphia,

When they proclaimed the liberty

I was with Abraham Lincoln,

When he set the slave's free

But still the greatest place I've been

Was that day on Calvary
