The Spirit in God's Word

If words could describe

just how I feel inside,

I'd write a song

concerning my dear Lord;

The words would be beyond compare

to any ever heard,

That glorify the One that I adore.

But my words could not explain

Just why He bore our shame,

No praise could quite convey

the love He's shown.

My song could never fill the heart

of a hungry, thirsty soul,

But the Spirit in God's Word

could make men whole.

It's the Spirit, the Holy Spirit,

It's the Spirit in God's Word

that makes men whole;

It's the Spirit, the Holy Spirit,

Why don't you let

God's Spirit fill your soul?

(Just let God's Spirit fill your soul!)

If Love could project

starting within His Bride,

The reasons for Her fears

would all subside,

If She partakes that robe of white,

dressed in all His grace

The Love of Christ

would shine upon Her face;

But Her Love can not be known

if Christ is never shown,

The Life in which

the Love in Her has grown;

Her Love could never win the heart

of a lost & lonely soul

But the Spirit in Her words

can make men whole.
