There's Nothing Like the Bride

There's nothing like the Bride of Christ
Her beauty is hidden in simplicity
She's so in love with the Groom
That She always wants to be by His side
Veiled with His Word
and washed in His holy Blood
Without spot or wrinkle
As perfect as she could be

Nowadays, a virtuous woman
is hard to find
It seems like everyone's the same
A modern Jezebel
with make up on her face
Walking and prancing about
With the tinkling of the feet
Dancing and carrying on,
Imagining mischief

Dressed, oh, so modestly
Her hair bouncing like a waterfalls
She speaks in deep sincerity
Love radiates from her life so consistently
Walking in the Light of the day
Her vessel's overflowing with oil
Sharing in His righteousness
A virgin to the Word

On Calvary as Jesus hang
Dyin' up the Tree
His side was pierced
And the second Eve came to be

At Calvary as Jesus died
Dying up the Tree
His side was pierced
And the second Eve came to be
