This Love Is His Love

I'd like to write a song

about our love

And all the precious moments

we have shared till now;

But I'd rather write

about our Lord above,

Because it was Him

who brought this union all about.

This Love is His Love,

He formed it from the start;

Brought us together

We were in His heart;

This Love is His Love

and He will lead the way,

He will be our stay;

For this Love (this love)

is His Love.

As our hearts are joined

we give them back to God,

So that His perfect will

can lead us in our lives;

And through the years

in all the good times and the trials,

We will pray His Love

will guide us day and night.

A marriage takes more than two,

It takes three;

So I pray that He will work

through you and me.
