No Stone to Throw

She trembled as she stood there guilty so afraid
Worthy of the justice the Pharisee proclaimed
Jesus said let someone sinless cast the stone
Then He waited in the silence ‘til everyone had gone

She said He could see the hurt hidden in my heart
And He could feel the shame of all my sinful scars
Though He could have just condemned me if He chose
But the Rock of Ages has no stone to throw

I made so many choices in the life I call my own
I built my house on shifting sand and not the cornerstone
Ill be swept away by the floor tides of regret
Until the hand of heaven drew me from it’s depths

'Cause He could see the hurt hidden in my heart
And He could feel the shame of all my sinful scars
Though He could have just condemned me if He chose
But the Rock of Ages has no stone to throw

His hands are full of mercy, forgiveness, hope and grace
Their bleeding free with cleansing to pardon you today.

'Cause He could see the hurt hidden in your heart
And He could feel the shame of all your sinful scars
Though He could have just condemned you if He chose
But the Rock of Ages has no stone to throw
