His trials made him strong

He was a tough guide who came from the South side

Till Jesus took over his life

God called him to preached and to boldly proclaim what was right

Then the news from the doctor

Changed all of the plans he could see

You would think that the story would end With a man in defeat

But his trials made him strong

Brought him close to his God

He saw his troubles turned to a victory in love

He could have been better

Could have made him a quitter

But when he suffered long

We often cry

He heals some but take some away

But our time here is God’s and He has a part we must play
