I Want to Be That Man

He was awake before the sun

with his Bible opened up

seeking truth with every single page he turned

Anyone could see

our pastor lived what he believed

with the gentle heart and passion for

Jesus earned.

We know I had hard times I disobey

but the longer I lived its clear to me

I wanna be that man

who loves the LORD with all his heart

just like the LORD commends

who takes a stand

and leads his CHURCH

as he holds the FATHER's hand

I wanna be THAT MAN

Society would say

there's a new ideal today

"not what you give, its more

about what you can get",

but I wanna live a life

that's martyr by a sacrifice

just like the SAVIOUR who died

to show us all tthe way

so I'll take up my cross and trace HIS steps

Surrending is how I serve HIM the best.
