Perfectly
If falling down another time
Helps to bring my will in line with Yours,
You'll let me fall,
If letting me pursue my plans,
Shows me that they'll never stand without You,
You'll let me go,
You know I'll be broken from the fall,
But you know I'll look back to call,
You faithful through it all.
And perfectly You Father me,
Sometimes You withhold to give exactly what I need,
And patiently You love all me,
You take your time to shape my life,
Until Your work's complete,
I'm humbled that You'd care so faithfully,
That perfectly You Father me.
You bring me to the wilderness,
To push my limits and to test my heart,
You teach me to obey,
So when all I see is desert sand,
Strengthen me to grip Your hand and walk,
As You lead the way,
'Cause no one knows endurance like You do,
And I learn in times like these,
That I can do all things through You.
And I know it won't be long,
Before I'm dancing in the rain,
Laughing like a child without a care,
But for now You brought me out here,
To this dry and barren land,
And knowing if I'll trust You here,
You can take me anywhere.
